QASIT BIN ZUHAIR TAGHLIBI

He was martyred in the first attack on the day of Aashoora in Kerbala. He was an old man from the clan of Bani Taghlib bin Waa'il. He and his brothers Muqsit and Kurdoos were all companions of Hazrat Ali (A.S) and with him took part in the three battles. After Hazrat Ali (A.S) was martyred, they stayed in Koofa till they heard the news of Imam Hussain (A.S) travelling towards Koofa. On the night of Aashoora, they managed to reach Kerbala. All the three brothers were martyred.
